It is with deep regret that we announce that we will stop providing our beloved service, Path.

We started Path in 2010 as a small team of passionate and experienced designers and engineers.
Over the years we have tried to lay out our mission: through technology and design we aim to be a source of happiness, meaning, and connection to our users.

Along our journey we have laughed and cried with you, and learned valuable lessons. And it is now inevitable to wind down the service to prioritize our work to serve you with better products and services.

It has been a long journey and we sincerely thank each one of you for your years of love and support for Path.

The Path service and Terms of Use governing your use of Path will terminate on [10.18.2018].

The specific shutdown schedule is as below:

-9.17.2018 : Notice on Path service discontinuation  
-10.1.2018: Unable to download/update the app in iTunes and Google Play
-10.18.2018: Termination of the Service (Unable to access to Path)
-11.15.2018: Path related customer service will be closed

For more details regarding how you can retrieve a copy of your data (i.e. your images, text, videos) and any refund of any premium subscription, please visit the link by clicking the link below.

We also have upgraded our newest feature, Show Window Moment to let you have an easy shopping experience. You can now choose product category for your Show Window moment!

Last but not least, now you can upload your Video Moments up to 2 mins long duration and enjoy watching the video with a seek bar! Share your special moment because the best way to multiply your excitement is to share it with others!

Ever wanted a sneak peek of a new restaurant or cafe before going there? Just view a location on Path and you’ll see photos from your friends who checked in there too!

Now there’s no need to worry if you make a typo, need to fix your location tag, or forgot to add a friend (we hate when that happens!). You can simply edit your posted moment in just a few steps!

Last but not least, we know that Path is the best when you’re sharing with friends and family. Now you can send out your unique profile URL to easily connect with people on Path!

At Path, we are dedicated to delivering the best social sharing experience to connect you with your friends and family. With our most recent update, we focused on features to bridge the gap between you and your loved ones–ultimately, a more seamless experience on Path.

Are you an Android user? Get excited for a new user experience! Now you can simply swipe left or right to explore Path. Also, we’ve added streaming video, so you can view your friends’ video moments without having to download them. On wi-fi? Path will even auto-play the video! (This will be coming soon for iOS users.)

In addition to video streaming, iOS users can look forward to an in-app browser, so that you can view a link without leaving Path. Also, we’ve added the 3D touch feature for iPhone 6S users.

And we’re not stopping there. We’re delighted to add mentioning to Path, so now you can bring your friends into the conversation by tagging them in the comments! Just type @ and Path will recommend friends based on who’s in the moment.

Finally, what’s more personal than a birthday? To help you celebrate the birthdays of your closest friends, we’ve added birthday notifications. Send a message or share a moment to wish ‘em a happy birthday!

Today, Path experienced a service outage for roughly 21 hours. This outage came from an unexpected issue with our database servers, and many of you were unable to access your Path. Despite our around-the-clock effort, the recovery process took longer than we had expected. We deeply apologize for this. 

The issue is fully resolved and you can resume sharing your precious moments on Path. In case you have any issues, such as difficulty logging in, please contact service@path.com. We will assist you in every possible way we can. 

We take this outage very seriously and with full responsibility. We are dedicated to delivering the best possible Path experience and strive to make it better every day.
