"I have a slight food obsession. I spend my days perusing food blogs and flipping through food magazines in search of tasty new recipes and the next big up-and-coming food trend (Hello, Cronut!) to sink my teeth into. So, it’s no surprise that most of my Path moments revolve around food. I use my Path like a personal catalogue for all of my gastronomical adventures. Whether I’m sharing a new crockpot curry recipe, a photo of my crazy family knees deep in crawfish shells in the backyard at our annual crawfish bake, or a check-in at one of my five billion favorite restaurants, I love being able to record it all in one place.
This past August I was lucky enough to take the trip of a lifetime to the island of Penang in Malaysia, known as the “food paradise” of Southeast Asia, where the mix of Malay, Chinese and Indian cultures makes for some very exciting flavor combinations. The hottest restaurants in town are the roadside hawker stalls where you can enjoy an amazing feast for mere pocket change. Needless to say I documented every sumptuous bite on Path. My mouth still waters looking back at all of the photos; Char Kway Teow, Curry Mee, Assam Laksa, Lau Hua Peng and Vaidais (just to name a few). I just booked a flight to India this December, I can’t wait to document all of my adventures in curry on Path!” -Charlotte, Chicago
